Our new facility was formally the Desertaire Hostel. We say good-bye & thanks to Aldine Wallace for starting this lodging opportunity and being an integral part of the Tecopa Landscape since 1950.

When completed, the Inn will have 6 traditional rooms, 3 tipis, 3 vintage travel trailers and a fully catered meeting room. It will also house the Old Spanish Trail Association headquarters of the Tecopa Chapter.

We will offer a range of lodging experiences representative of desert Americana. All based on sustainable geotourism concepts.

The tipi honors Native American technology for minimum impact nomadic housing.

The vintage trailer park of antique travel trailers features our 1949 Spartan Executive Mansion trailer— home of the original homesteader.

The modular buildings reflect 1960’s and 70’s housing technology, popular when the local mines thrived and supported this small community of Tecopa.

Our new construction will use modern sustainable building materials and employ water & energy efficient systems.
